PEACE TOWN overcame trouble at the start and some trouble on the turn to win the feature race at Aqueduct, a six furlong allowance over the inner dirt.
Bumped at the start, he quickly recovered and stalked the leader from the inside down the backstretch. The leader was able to get over to the inside going into the turn and then slowed. With another outside of him, PEACE TOWN had no choice but to backup and lose momentum. Coming off the turn, he moved off the rail and launched a closing bid that carried him to the lead and he held on strongly to win by a half-length.
PEACE TOWN has now earned $152,267. Trained by Michael Trombetta, he was bred in Maryland by Bowman & Higgins Stable.
