| PRIZED DANCER, our 3-year-old daughter of PURE PRIZE came from off the pace to break her maiden in the 7th race at Fair Grounds going a mile and one-sixteenth.
PRIZED DANCER had placed three times last season at two over the Polytrack at Woodbine and once over the sloppy main track at Fair Grounds. Originally scheduled for the turf, she ended up catching a fast dirt surface for the first time and she certainly responded to the positive. She settled in the back for the six furlongs, but she came rolling through the stretch. She took the lead a furlong from home and drew away to win by a length and one-half.
Trained by Josie Carroll, she was bred in Ontario by Michael and Penny Lauer. She is out of the Matter of Honor mare, La Ballerine. |
