| Vinery Stables' WILD LIME came from off the pace to earn his first level allowance condition in the 7th race at the Meadowlands going six furlongs over the fast main track.
Our 2-year-old LIMEHOUSE colt did not show any early speed during the opening quarter. Galloping along at the back of the field, WILD LIME began to close going into the final turn. He was in front of all but the leading two at the top of the stretch and he continued to close. Aiming to go between horses, the gap closed at the last moment and he had to switch to the outside. Once he was straight in his new path, he let loose with a quick burst of speed and dashed by, drawing away to win by one length.
WILD LIME is now two-for-three lifetime. Trained by Michael Trombetta, he was bred in Kentucky by Bianca Francis Equine. He was produced by the Forest Wildcat mare, Wild Mistress. |
